One of the best decisions of my life was to specialize in orthodontics, which combines science and art, two of my special interests. I cannot imagine doing anything else! I have been fortunate to be able to work with a superb staff. My dental assistants are New York State Certified Assistants, a level of certification and education achieved by only a few. A wonderful group of patients has also enhanced my love for this profession. It is extremely gratifying to realize that I have helped so many adults and children achieve beautiful new smiles and healthy mouths.

TRIOS Digital Impression Solution
Danoff Dental Provides Faster, More Comfortable Treatment for their Patients with Digital Dentistry
The doctors at Danoff Dental are now making treatment faster and more comfortable for their patients with intraoral scanning and digital dentistry.
Danoff Dental has added the industry's most accurate intraoral scanner, TRIOS by 3Shape, to power their digital practice.
Intraoral scanners, like TRIOS, are used in digital dentistry to take super high speed images of a patients' mouths. The images, called digital impressions, are then brought into CAD/CAM software to design and manufacture dental restorations like dentures, crowns, veneers, dental implants as well as plan orthodontic treatments and create orthodontic appliances.
Digital dentistry workflows speed up patient appointments and save production time as well as enhancing nearly all diagnostic, restorative and surgical procedures.
One major change Danoff Dental patients will notice right away is not having to take complete-arch impressions the old way using silicone putty – a procedure known to strike fear in many patients.
In a study published by the American Dental Association, old-fashion impressions taken with putty, caused gagging in 8% of the participants. Danoff Dental doctors are now using TRIOS which means no more gooey impressions and no more gagging for their patients.
Taking impressions digitally is also more comfortable for the patient. A study by the University of Bern School of Dental Medicine found that 100% of the patients in the study preferred the digital workflow as opposed to taking analog impressions.
In addition, the accuracy of digital impressions make the resulting restorations more precise. Accuracy that cuts down on the need for having to make remakes of the restoration and/or bringing the patient back to do over the analog impression because of a fault or damage to the impression caused during shipping, designing and storage. And importantly, because it's digital, there are no more plaster models to throw out.
"We are very excited to be offering the most modern, up to date, digital impression system to our patients. These techniques are state of the art in dentistry. Our patients are blown away by how clean and easy it is to use and are super impressed to see their teeth, in perfect living color, appear right before them on the computer screen."
Visit Danoff Dental for fast and more comfortable digital treatment with the industry's state-of-the-art equipment.
